Quality control processes are ensured by the independent quality control centre, that is the specialised and methodical workplace for the quality in production, but also the innovation workplace for the industrial engineering methods, which are being implemented in the entire company by the advisory company. Among the standard 5S methods, Total Productive Maintenance and the value-creation process development is the overall development of the Lean and Innovative Company. The objective is to achieve a stable, flexible and standardized production.

Control – the quality control team is usually in every company the specialised workplace focused on finding the faults and deficiencies. Value is however added by prevention of deficiencies. The hardening shop of GALVAMET spol. s r.o. Company has a team of excellent specialists for the evaluation of metallographic structures, we make the hardness measurement according to the Rockwell, Brinell and Vickers methods. The quality control is a 24 hour operated workplace and ensures the service for all technologies.

We cooperate with the specialised workplaces of Technical University in Ostrava, SIMD laboratories in the areas of materials engineering, and fracture properties at the Faculty of Materials Engineering.

The quality control of the processed jobs is the standard of the corporate culture.

The maintenance team is a significant part of the company organisation. The formerly underestimated workplace now has an essential role in our company. It ensures the 24-hour service and together with the autonomous service system is the main pillar of our success – it reduces downtimes in the production. The fast response to failure is supported by the information system and good overview of the spare parts inventory. The proactive response and the system of shift reports regarding the possible equipment values variation are the building blocks of the Total Preventive Maintenance. We do large operation shutdowns twice a year – in the summer holidays time for the complete maintenance of machines and in winter, as the continuation of repairs, overhauls and investments.

The team consisting of plumbers, electricians and locksmiths can use the fundamental machinery for repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules for every day, week, month and half-year.

We are able to provide on our own a wide range of significant repairs and technologies reconstruction. In the area of innovations, we often cooperate with many workplaces at the high technical level. The results of this cooperation can be seen on the upgrades of the control systems of our furnaces, new furnace linings, wireless data transfer from workplaces to the process engineers’ offices, nitrogen production system for the technology purposes, energy consumption measures and many value-adding activities.
